Since 1870, Lotos has been famous for its hospitality. Gilbert & Sullivan, visiting the United States for the first time in 1879, found they felt instantly "at home" at the Club. Mark Twain, a lifelong member and frequent guest, called Lotos "The Ace of Clubs."
We invite you to join this long tradition. The Lotos Club combines timeless elegance and contemporary style with an added certain something - call it the "Lotos Spirit" - that immediately puts guests at ease.
Our beautiful clubhouse is in every way a home. Built in 1900 as a wedding gift for Maria Vanderbilt Shepard and William Jay Schieffelin, it has been lovingly restored. Guests and members alike treasure a setting that is timelessly beautiful but not ostentatious; perfectly elegant, yet comfortable. Our staff is amiable and attentive, but never instrusive.
The Lotos Club's beautifully appointed rooms accomodate a wide range of corporate and social events: an intimate dinner party for eight, a festive wedding celebration for one hundred guests and cocktails for one hundred and sixty. Our renowned cuisine features seasonal menus tailored to your tastes and event. Our staff is here to help assist with every detail - menus, flowers and music - so that you can relax and enjoy your special event.
We look forward to the opportunity to host your next event at The Lotos Club.
Sincerely,
