HOUSE RULES
|
The House Rules are designed to ensure that the facilities of The Lotos Club are enjoyed by Lotos members and their guests. Members and guests are expected to adhere to the rules, among which are the following:
VISITORS
Guests may visit the clubhouse when accompanied by a member or by arrangements with the Club Office. Upon arrival, all visitors from reciprocal clubs need to present to the receptionist a current membership card and a card of introduction.
MEMBER PRIVACY
No member, including the sponsor of a party or other Private Dining event, may publicize the name of the Club without the explicit prior permission of the President or the Chair of the House Committee. The use of cellular phones, beepers, personal computers, and other electronic devices is not permitted, except in a private room.
TIPPING
No member or guest may give money or any gratuity to any employee of the Club. Contributions to the employee Christmas Gift Fund are welcomed at any time. Written commendations are also welcomed.
SMOKING
The Clubhouse is a smoke-free environment.
PETS
Pets, except Seeing Eye dogs, are not permitted in the clubhouse.
DRESS
1. Members and guests shall be properly attired. The Lotos Club takes pride in setting high standards in all its endeavors, and proper dress is intended to be an expression of those standards. After 5 p.m., this means jackets and neckties for men (except in the Grill Room where ties are optional) and the equivalent degree of formality for women. (For other exceptions, see the Front Desk or call the Club office.) A selection of men's neckties and jackets is available at the Reception Desk for loan.
2. Casual clothing, such as running shoes and other athletic attire, is prohibited, except for members or guests going directly into or out from their bedrooms.
