Lotos has more than one hundred events each year, including talks on the arts, public affairs and science and technology, dinners honoring eminent figures, recitals and cabaret evenings, art exhibits, and small discussion groups on topics including history, art, opera, poetry, and literature.
Since 1872, Lotos has held more than 400 “State Dinners” for distinguished guests in all fields of achievement, from Enrico Caruso to Tony Bennett; Mark Twain to Saul Bellow; explorer Henry Stanley to astronaut Scott Carpenter; prominent actors, opera singers, diplomats, business leaders and six U.S. presidents.
The Club’s most festive event each year is the black-tie Twelfth Night Frolic, an evening of great food, dancing and camaraderie.
